  • An assessment is a structured process used to better understand how a person thinks, learns, behaves, and feels. It involves interviews, standardized tests, and questionnaires to identify strengths, challenges, and possible diagnoses. The goal is to provide clear answers and practical recommendations for school, work, or daily life.

  • We offer assessments for adults, including psychological, neuropsychological, psycho-educational, ADHD, autism (ASD), learning disability, memory, and diagnostic evaluations. Each assessment is tailored to the individual’s concerns and goals.

  • A psychological assessment helps understand emotional functioning, behaviour, personality, attention, and overall mental health. The process includes interviews, standardized testing, and questionnaires, typically involving 4 to 6 hours of testing. You receive a detailed report outlining findings, diagnoses (if applicable), and practical recommendations during a feedback session with the clinician, where results are explained, and questions are addressed.

  • A neuropsychological assessment evaluates brain-based skills such as memory, attention, language, processing speed, and executive functioning. It is often recommended after a concussion, brain injury, neurological illness, or unexplained cognitive changes. Results help guide treatment and support accommodations at school or work.

  • A psycho-educational assessment examines a student’s learning profile, including intellectual ability, academic skills (reading, writing, math), and attention. It is commonly used to identify learning disabilities, ADHD, or giftedness and to support school accommodations such as IEPs.

  • ADHD assessments evaluate attention, impulsivity, and executive functioning across settings. A comprehensive evaluation includes interviews, standardized tests of attention, behaviour rating scales, and review of school or work history. Common tools include continuous performance tests and questionnaires completed by the individual and, when relevant, teachers or family members.

  • Autism assessments explore social communication, sensory sensitivities, behaviour patterns, and developmental history. The process includes interviews, standardized diagnostic tools, and questionnaires. Structured observational measures and caregiver input help ensure an accurate and comprehensive evaluation.

  • A supervised clinician is a therapist who is actively practicing psychotherapy while receiving ongoing clinical supervision from a fully licensed and experienced senior clinician. Supervision involves regular review of clinical work, consultation on cases, and guidance to support high standards of care, ethical practice, and professional development.

Supervised clinicians have completed graduate-level training and provide therapy services within their scope of practice. Their work is supported through structured oversight, which helps ensure clients receive safe, thoughtful, and evidence-informed care while the clinician continues to advance their clinical skills and experience.

  • Unfortunately, we do not offer direct billing at this time.

You will be provided receipts following the payment of your sessions, which you can submit to your insurance provider.

Please ensure you confirm your coverage with your insurance provider prior to beginning sessions.

  • If you have coverage through Blue Cross VAC, we can submit claims on your behalf. In order to do so, we will need authorization from your Case Manager.

If you do not have a case manager, you will need to provide our intake team with your unique VAC client number. We would need to create a preauthorization request on your behalf. Please note, preauthorization requests take between 2 - 4 weeks for a confirmation.

Once our clinic receives a response, we will contact you and advise the status of that request.

  • Yes, you can absolutely request to do another phone consultation with a different clinician, depending on availability.
